A 136-mile walk, the Wye Valley walk stretches the length of the river Wye, with wonderful sceneries along the way. It is a beautiful trail with varied terrains. An easily accessible trail, the Wye Valley can be a stroll or a brisk walk for many who choose not to travel till the end of the route.

The way to Wye Valley is through the Wales-England border. It runs from Plynlion in Powys to Chepstow in Mountshire and passes through many towns and cities such as Hay-on-Wye and Ross-on-Wye.
Despite the long route, it is an easy walk. You can also take sections according to your comfort as there is no obligation to go through the whole route, at one go.
Plan Your Wye Valley Trip
Before planning on moving forward with the adventure, you might want to plan it out. The amount of time that you want to spend hiking and the length you want to travel are the two most important things to keep in mind while preparing for the route. The walk is marked with waymarks along the footpath, and therefore, is a straightforward route to follow. You can also bring a map along to know your directions.

There are various spots you can look out for while travelling the Wye Valley. Here are some of the top places to visit:
- Symonds Yat
Home to the Yat Rock, the Symonds Yat is a great spot to visit while you are travelling across the Wye Valley. With scenic views and country pubs on the riverside, this place is mesmerising and a wonderful place to look for.
- Tintern Abbey
There are plenty of natural wonders which can be explored on your way through the Wye Valley. An ancient site, Tintern Abbey is the ruins of an old Abbey. Specifically known for its views, the beautiful place sits on the banks of River Wye
- Ross-on-Wye
If you love wandering through market towns and exploring the local shops, this is your calling. Make a pit stop around Ross-on-Wye, a market town with small tea shops and country pubs. Rest your weary legs and enjoy the beauty with a cup of tea.

There are plenty of options along the Wye Valley Walk which you can explore. If you love camping, you can choose to camp during the night in some remarkable locations. One of the great ways to connect with nature is to try outdoor activities such as hiking and camping.
If you are travelling solo, there are various glamming sites such as White House on Wye Glamping which can be fun. You can camp overnight and look at the clear bright sky while having your favourite camp dinner.
