Great moments are like camping, circling round a camp fire, sharing intimate moments under the stars and what not. Camping is the ultimate getaway and a beautiful experience too with the scenic beauty that UK’s hot spots have to offer you. However, camping shouldn’t be just limited to that. For a fun-filled time, all you need is a few items to add to your gear that will make your camping trip luxurious.
- A Folding Camp Table for a Picnic Feel
With all my experience from past camping trips with family, it is official that it’s hard to balance a camp stove or cook top on a rock and so, for me, carrying a good old camp table is all I need to do to keep everything organised. Plus, it gives a picnic trip feel and it is easier to keep everybody in line and manage the snack department.
- An Outdoor Barbecue or Dutch Oven Maybe
If you are going to the campsite in your car, then you have the convenience of carrying a Dutch oven or a portable barbecue with you. Trust me, I have cooked all sorts of casseroles, handmade pizza, baked nachos, etc. for my family and they loved it. If you enjoy a well-roasted steak or hamburgers, then a mini barbecue is also a good choice to go for. Whatever choice you make, make sure it falls under your budget and you don’t have to go out of the way just for some camping luxuries.
- Some Family Games
If you are travelling with family, don’t let the same scenery bore you, instead add some fun by carrying some indoor games to get everybody involved. It’s a great way to connect to one another and make memories. You can even carry some yard games like bocce ball and bag toss to keep yourselves amused. Plus, cards are evergreen, so don’t forget those.
- Go Lightweight with Hammocks
Add some fun to your trip and carry a lightweight hammock with you and relax while watching a great view. You don’t have to carry extra equipment for setting it up, just find a spot with two trees and you are good-to-go. Enjoy your time while drinking juice, reading a book or eating some fruits.
Get a Camp Shower if you Like
A camp shower is a portable plastic bag that can be filled with water and left out in the sun to be used for washing hands or for taking a warm shower, in case you feel like having one. However, it is good to carry a portable water bag like this if you are travelling with kids as it is great in emergencies.
If you have the means, that is, if you are travelling by your own vehicle, you have the luxury of carrying things that you need for a relaxed and leisurely day. But above all, remember you are there to have fun with your family and make amazing memories.
