Summer is tiring, especially in times of global warming. But you still want to enjoy those amazing outdoor activities during the holidays. In that case, a few simple essentials can go a long way and keep you safe from dehydration, sunstroke, and tanning. Take care of yourself and stay active all summer with these five easy essentials –
Breezy Clothes
Make sure that you think wisely before packing the bags. Switch from body-hugging fabrics to breathable and wicking clothes that will pull moisture from the body. Wear loose clothes with short clothes. Also, when it comes to your feet, don’t forget to get a lightweight pair of socks and walking shoes for outdoor trips.
Sunscreen
No matter what is your skin type, sunscreen is a must. While you are planning to spend the entire day outside, cover your face and every exposed part of your skin with sunscreen. It will keep you safe from sunburns and tanning. Sometimes the weather is a little unpredictable and there’s not much heat. Even in that case sunscreen is important because you may end up with tan lines. Use a cream with at least SPF 30. You should also try to remain in as much shade as possible to protect the skin.
Note: Don’t just use any cream lying around in your house, make sure that it is protective and suits your skin type.
Eye Protection
If you are spending a considerable amount of time outdoors, taking care of the eyes is a must. Those scorching sun rays are difficult to withstand and can cause problems. Even if it is a little cloudy on a summer day, wear sunshades. They not only protect your eyes but also act as a style statement! You can choose to spend a little more and invest in sunglasses with a protective layer.
Hats
Outdoor adventures mean that you have to carry all the essentials and a hat is one of them. A nice hat will keep your eyes and face safe from the sun and make sure that you stay calm and comfortable. You can try on different summer hats and pick the one that suits your style and keeps you safe. If you are travelling with children, it is best to buy them hats that will cover the back neck.
Hydration
Hydration is one of the most important things when talking about outdoor summer adventures. The optimum water quantity depends on multiple factors, such as humidity, temperature, distance, and terrain. If there’s too much heat and you are walking continuously, you can even mix an electrolyte tablet in the water. This will keep your hydration level in check and maybe enhance the flavour. Always remember to keep water bottles as hydration can cause fatigue, dizziness, and headache. So, don’t forget to take your fluids.
These are some of the top tips for your summer adventures. They will help in keeping you active, covered, and ready to make some beautiful memories with family and friends. Add them to your checklist and enjoy the vacation wholeheartedly!
