Tips for Smarter Weight Loss

Mike has a real passion for cycling, hiking and just generally being outdoors. Being from Warrington, he is only a few hours away from North Wales, The Peak District, Yorkshire and the Lake District. He has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and done a lot of the mountains in the Lake District. His new passion is walking his dog and enjoying a pint at the end.
Going on diets continuously without getting proper nutrition will only help you in falling sick rather than help lose your weight. It is very common among people who are trying to lose weight to try different exercise regimens, follow an extensively hard diet plan and not get any results. I have some tips to share with you that might help you lose weight by making simple changes to your lifestyle.
- Forget Canned Food
One thing that does not let us lose weight is our unmeasurable intake of canned food and junk food. Store-bought food may taste good, but is not good for your health. Try to cook with organic ingredients and have a homecooked meal as much as possible. Try to eat whole foods like fruits, nuts, meat, seeds and whole grains
- Consume Least Amounts of Carbs
Sugar and starch are your worst enemies while you try to lose weight, so it is important that you try to stay away from foods with high starch or sugary content and it will help you lose weight faster
- Monitor Your Daily Caloric Intake
Monitoring the number of calories that you consume in a day motivates you to burn them. So, keep track of your daily calories
- Do Some Exercise
It is advisable to exercise properly at least three or four days a week. You can undertake running, swimming, bicycling, hiking, jogging, etc. based on your liking and you would be able to see the results soon
- Eat Healthy Protein and Fat
Once you cut down on carbs, make sure you eat nutritious and healthy food like meat, beans, eggs, avocados, nuts, seafood, lentils, etc. which will not only keep you full for long but will also provide you energy
Let me now give you some weight loss tips that would be helpful if combined with the tips above.
- Try to mix up your exercise routine or maybe just change it up for one day of the week. It helps you break the monotony and the body to not get used to the same regimen.
- Water is your friend while you try to lose weight. Try to drink as much water as you can throughout the day, it helps flush out toxins and leaves the skin glowing as a bonus. It also helps you feel full and you would eat less as a result.
- Get a good 8-hour sleep at night to wake up stress free and well-rested. This helps boost the metabolic activity of the body.
- Portion control is another effective method that helps you monitor how much you eat throughout the day. It is also a good practice to plan your meals beforehand, so you don’t panic during meal time.
So, these are some of the tips and guidelines that I follow and they have helped me maintain a healthy lifestyle through all these years. I hope they help you in your quest to lose weight too.
