Make your holidays more memorable by exploring and reconnecting with nature through some of the magnificent mountains, wildlife, and lakes. There are several national parks in the United Kingdom to choose from. These sheltered green spaces are perfect places to unplug while enjoying some of the most breath-taking sceneries in the world. Since they all deliver something unique, everyone would have a different impression of the best national parks in Britain. They can be explored by different means including train, bicycle, or on foot. They are popular for their magnificent landscapes and have beautiful towns and villages. The great thing about these national parks is that they're completely free of charge. Let me tell you about the Top 5 National Park in UK that owns a special place in my heart.

The Norfolk and Suffolk Broads

This is in East Anglia where you will find stunning scenery, natural beauty and unique light quality. This National Park will give you real peace and calmness. This quiet wetland acts as a sanctuary for birds and bird-watchers. Apart from walking, you can do many fun stuff here like fishing, boating, or can even explore small towns.

Dartmoor

If you are a fan of open skies and beautiful sunsets, then Dartmoor is perfect for you. This place is popular for its rugged, open spaces. Around 350 miles of heather-covered moorland and scenic river valleys can be explored here. It is also renowned for its wild ponies with shaggy fur and exquisitely lustrous manes and also for unusual stone sculptures. This site offers several activities for all age groups including walking, geocaching, hiking, and cycling.

Cairngorms

This is one of the UK's largest National Park. Filled with some of the lovely mountains, this place will offer you an enjoyable spot. It's among the chilliest regions in the country and also includes large areas of pure forests. This place can be visited in winter so you can enjoy hill climbing, skiing or even cycling. The best thing is that there are also plenty of distilleries and breweries to visit in the region.

South Downs

Don't forget to add South Downs to your list of must-visit sites. Located in Southern England, this is a great location for walks with spectacular views and you'll also get a chance to get connected to local wildlife as well. The moderate weather provides outdoor enthusiasts with a range of activities. A perfect destination to have a relaxed weekend!

Brecon Beacons

This is one of my personal favourite places as the Brecon Beacons mountain range will leave a stunning scenic impact on your heart. Located in South Wales, it is an incredible location as it is declared as the first International Dark-Sky Reserve for those who enjoy stargazing. Go with your family and friends and enjoy various activities such as mountain biking, horseback riding, walking, paragliding or abseiling. For those who want peace and harmony and want to walk through the beautiful countryside, it is a great place.

Conclusion

Most of the National Parks in Britain are wonderful and an amazing combination of beauty and greenery. I am 100% sure that these places will leave a beautiful mark in your heart and create a feeling of happiness and calmness in your mind. What are you waiting for? Get your gang and have a Happy Weekend!
