Recipe 1: American Style Pancakes
I have tried this batter many times. This pancake batter is a blend of a few different ingredients. These fluffy pancakes are ready to eat in only 25-30 minutes.
Things and Ingredients Required
- Plain Flour: 225g
- Baking Powder: 3 tsp
- Caster Sugar: 4 tbsp.
- Melted Butter: 50g
- A Pinch of Salt
- Milk: 125ml
- Eggs: 2
- Vanilla Extract: 1 tsp
- A pan
How to Make It
- First, you have to prepare the batter by mixing the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. In the centre, create a well and pour in the eggs, milk, and melted butter. Mix well till it is smooth.
Note: If you want you can add vanilla extract but it is not mandatory.
- Heat a pan on a medium flame and grease it with butter. Pour the batter into the pan using a ladle.
- Keep on cooking each pancake until you see their edges slightly drying out and bubbles appearing on the surface. Flip the pancake for 1-2 minutes till golden brown to cook the reverse side.
- Serve it with any topping of your choice.
I love a blueberry topping with these pancakes. It is simple to make as you have to mix some berries, sugar, and water in a saucepan and let it cook on a simmer flame.
Recipe 2: Pan a Bacon and Eggs
I found this recipe on social media and thought to give it a try. I have tried it first at home and successfully done it. During my last year’s camping trip, I cooked prepared this amazing breakfast meal. Here is the recipe for you.
Thing and Ingredients Required
- Bread
- Eggs
- Bacon
- A pan
How to Make It
- Fry the bread a little on both the sides and make a cutout in the centre.
- Cover one side of the bread with bacon. Fry the uncovered side of the bread once to seal it prevent falling of things. Once done with it, fry the reverse side that is covered with bacon for a few minutes.
- Fill the hole with the egg yolk and allow it to cook.
Note: You’ll notice a little bit of leaking but have to keep a continuous check on it.
- Cook the egg properly for about 3 seconds by flipping the bread otherwise the yolk will keep leaking.
Some Tips for you
- You can prepare instant omelettes by mixing some eggs and seasoning in a bottle. Fry this mixture on a pan.
- For the bacon and recipe, streaky bacon is the best.
When you camp next time, do try these recipes to start your day with tasty and healthy breakfast.
