Best Campfire Cocktails to Beat the Chill This Winter

Besides their unique taste and delicious flavours, campfire cocktails tend to add some extra cosiness to your soul, making your long chilly night more special.
Here’s a list of some of the best campfire cocktails that would surely warm up your soul this winter:
Hot s’mores campfire cocktail
A smooth, creamy, and cosy drink, the hot s’mores campfire cocktail is an excellent pick for a classic campfire setting. With the milk heating over the fire, everyone gets a chance to toast their own marshmallows and add to their drinks.
How to make?
Ingredients:
- 2 marshmallows
- 100 ml almond milk (or any other preferred milk)
- 50 ml Bailey’s
- 1 tsp. cocoa powder
- Dark chocolate for grating
Method:
- Pour the milk in pan and heat it up on the fire (You may also do this before your campfire).
- Stir in the cocoa powder and Bailey’s, heat the entire mixture for another minute or two, and then pour it into an insulated flask.
- Toast 2 marshmallows over the campfire to place them in the mug bottom.
- Pour your shake over the marshmallows.
- Put some grated dark chocolate over the top and serve the drink with a cookie.
Serves: 1 small cup
Dad’s hot toddy
This delicious and warming whiskey cocktail is believed to act as the perfect tonic for managing cold and cough. Lemon, ginger, and honey possess immune-boosting properties and as such, a sip of this drink may give you a sound sleep during the winters.
How to make?
Ingredients:
- 25 ml to 50 ml of Irish whiskey
- 1 thumb of sliced ginger
- ½ lemon
- 1 tsp. honey
Method:
- Put the whiskey, ginger, and lemon in a mug.
- Add hot water to the mug.
- Stir in the honey.
- Leave the mixture to sit for two minutes before serving.

Ginger bomb
If you intended to add a hot and fresh flavour to your winter warmer drink, then the ginger bomb is perfect for you. In fact, you may serve this cocktail on ice. Infused with ginger wine, lime and Jägermeister, the rich syrupy cocktail tends to offer you exceptional warmth along with an eclectic taste.
How to make?
Ingredients:
- 60 ml ginger wine
- 30 ml Jägermeister
- Lemonade
- Lime edge (or lemon)
Method:
- Pour the wine, Jägermeister, and lemonade over some crushed ice in your mug.
- Add a wedge of lime and serve.

Spiced mulled mead
A traditional alcohol drink made of fermented honey and water; the mead is perfect for couples who intend to enjoy a long night together. In fact, the word ‘Honeymoon’ is derived from its consumption. Full of sweet honey flavours and spicy warmth, this drink perfectly pairs with the bitterness of apple juice and subtly fruity taste of the brandy.
How to make?
Ingredients:
- 400 ml mead
- 3 tbsp brandy
- 200 ml apple juice
- 2 slices of lemon
- 4 cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick
Method:
- Mix all ingredients in a saucepan.
- Heat up the mixture until it simmers.
- Remove the cloves before serving.
Serves: 2
Mulled wine
The large hot pot full of mulled wine simmering over your campfire and its sweet aromas filling up the air reminds you that Christmas is near. You may also treat yourself with this wine in the late winters to celebrate the good times that you had spent with your friends and families.
How to make?
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle red wine
- 100 ml brandy
- 200 ml orange juice
- 1 sliced orange
- 1 sliced lemon
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. ground cardamom
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
Method:
- Mix all ingredients in a large pan.
- Heat up until the mixture starts simmering but do not let it boil.
- Serve it in large mugs with a ladle.
