An Exciting Trip To Tatton Park
Lately, I have been thinking of taking advantage of my National Trust membership and visiting Tatton Park. During the springtime, the beauty of Tatton Park increases manifolds. The beautiful rays of the sun falling on the lively Rhododendrons is a sight to behold.
Visiting Tatton Park During Springtime
Although Tatton Park is a must-have place to visit, the only downside associated with this place is that it isn't 100% National Trust. What does it mean? It simply means that you need to pay for parking, irrespective of whether you are a member of National Trust or not. These days, it's seven quid for parking. It's worth spending money because there is enough in Tatton Park to keep entertained and amused all day, including a huge playground, which is perfect for not only kids but also for the four-legged family members (dogs).
A Beautiful Combination of Flora and Fauna
On entering the Japanese Garden, I was astonished to see how authentic this garden looks. It's not like that I've never been to Japan but from the garden design what I can tell you that it's a perfect balance of flora and fauna, true to its style. The beautiful blooms of the Peony are so mammoth that I can literally say that their size is equivalent to the size of my head.
The trust garden at Tatton Park is so big that you can easily find enough space even when it is crowded. This may be the reason why many people including me don't mind paying a few extra bucks for parking. Furthermore, if you have a membership of National Trust, you don't have to pay any amount for the entry in the Trust Garden or the mansion.
Exploring The Japanese Garden
While strolling around the Trust Garden, I recalled the sweet memories of visiting the Japanese Garden at Tatton Park with my parents. Usually, this Japanese Garden opens only on Wednesday each week. However, to my surprise, I saw people visiting the Japanese garden and that too during the weekend. I made my way to the front gate of the garden and quickly took a sneak peek inside the garden. Then, I started following the line of people leading to the entrance of the Japanese Garden. Unlike Tatton Park, you won't find that space in the Japanese Garden.
The Peaceful Trust Garden
I was aware of the Rhododendron flowering time, so I planned accordingly my visit to the Tatton Garden. To be honest, there is nothing more peaceful like the alluring blooms of Rhodies bringing the vibes of the spring season. Remember my excursion to Quarry Bank Mill, a couple of weeks ago, where I also watched Rhododendron, but they didn't fully bloom at that time. I was sure that when I visit Tatton Park, they would bloom fully and look gorgeous in the garden. See, I was not wrong!
A Quick Look At The Rest Of The Garden
It was challenging to drag myself out of this mystical Japanese garden. Finally, I came out of the Japanese garden and started exploring the rest of the garden. The last time when I visit this place, it was so cold and set. The trees were hardly offering the shelter through their branches. However, with the advent of the spring season, everything has changed. In spring, this garden is full of colours and flowers and a perfect place to visit. I would definitely suggest you to explore the beauty of this lovely Tatton Park that will bring back your childhood memories, of you playing in the park, taking a stroll as a child and breathing in fresh air.
