A Guide to Keeping Yourself Fit during Holidays
We often tend to break our fitness regime while we are out on our holidays. We tend to enjoy the big meals, skip our yoga sessions, and sometimes run away from the treadmills for a bit. Of course! The holidays are there for us to enjoy our lives to the fullest; be it momentarily. And there is no harm in relaxing and going out of your daily routine for a bit if you ensure that you come back as healthy as you went out on your vacation.
Food and Nutrition
As far as holidays are concerned, it is all fun and games to just let yourself enjoy the day without having to worry about what you are going to have for lunch or dinner. Although it is okay to indulge in new food habits and try out things that you haven’t for a longer period of time, it is also important to keep your nutrition in check.
It is advised to avoid too many drinks that can lead to a bloated stomach. You can also switch to a scrumptious meal filled with carbohydrates, fruits, and salads. Salad has proven to be the best nutrition in warm weather.
Cardio for Your Body
No one likes to have a cardio session when they are on a holiday. So, what to do when you are aiming for a session but cannot find the zeal to do it? Swimming pools are a great way to practice your daily cargo sessions. Swimming helps burn calories and also acts as a low-impact exercise that everyone can practice. Getting an early start in the morning can help you boost your body’s calorie-burning capacity which stays all day.
If you are at the beach, morning runs barefoot have proven to bring positive effects on the body and the mind. Running barefoot over the sand also requires extra energy. It is also less impactful because of the soft sand and does not strain your ankles and foot easily.
Condition Your Body
Last, but not least, learn to condition your body to be able to do tasks and physical activities without having to look for a gym or equipment during your stay. There are various kinds of exercises which can give you a fresh start in the morning. Exercises such as press-ups, plyometric push-ups, etc. are some of the easy ones to start with. A door frame or a door itself can be a useful spot to practice pull-ups. Build your core strength, arms, back, and, chest with both pull-ups and chin-ups.
Squats and triceps dips are some of the other warming exercises that can help you attain the warm-up you require for all kinds of physical activities throughout the day. If you want to have a small portion of meals throughout the day but are not able to keep feasting in control, you can choose to resort to healthy snacking with MaxNutrition products while enjoying your vacation.
