Cliff camping is much more fun than any other camping adventure. Cliff camping is all about sleeping suspended on the edge of a cliff on a portaledge and enjoying the stunning views. A portaledge is a portable ledge or platform on which you sleep during cliff camping.

If you are thinking that you’ll need special skills for cliff camping, you need not worry. Anyone can camp on a cliff without climbing skills. We would like to let you know a few things before camping on a cliff.

Young’s Adventure Solution- You can go cliff camping in Britain without having any climbing experience. You just need to have the courage to hit the heights. When we went there, we hired Eddy Young of Young’s Adventure Solutions. If two people are going camping, it’ll cost you £250 per head. You’ll have an amazing experience just like that of an Air BnB. A platform is set for you and your meals are winched down with a rope.

Spectacular Views- At first, you might feel that a coastal cliff is an isolate but it’s not. The flying creatures will be your neighbours. The seabirds have their nests on the cliff and they fly in and out throughout the day and whirl close to the campers. Additionally, if you take a front-row seat at the oceanside, you might see dolphins and seals.

Safety Measures- Many of you must be getting worried about rolling off your portaledge while sleeping. But, it is not possible. Why? Because you are secured with the ropes throughout the night. People who sleep on portaledges are safe all the times with a harness that is fixed onto the tent. If you compare it to crossing a road, you’ll find cliff camping safer.

Best Outdoors- Cliff camping is the best outdoor activity than any other outdoor adventure. When you camp on a cliff edge, you sleep hundreds of meters above the land, away from the regular environment and spending time with nature.
