Hacks to Make You Comfortable
- To get a proper nights sleep, a camping mat and a sleeping bag are a must. It will be an added advantage if you carry a pillow with you. But, what to do if you forget to carry it? Put all your clothes in your sleeping bag and that’s it. You can use it as a pillow and sleep comfortably.
- You can create a soft tent floor by using children’s foam floor tiles and lay down.
- If you are on camping with your family, carrying camp beds or folding garden recliners that can also be used to rest during the day.
Hacks to Save the Space
- During camping, you surely don’t want to run out of toilet paper. To make packing easier, remove the cardboard from the centre of the rolls and flatten it.
- While packing the medicines, be smart and check which medicine can treat two or more sickness. For instance, sunburn and bee stings can be treated with Aspirin. It can also be used to fix your hangovers.
- Toiletries reserve a lot of space in your bag. To resolve this problem, you can carry a tin that contains single use soap shavings and shampoo bars to save the space
Cooking Tips
- You can cook any dish perfectly on the campfire; you just have to wrap it in the tin foil. Tin foil is your best friend during camping.
- Make your cooking easy by sticking a cast-iron skillet over a fire. There is an added advantage of washing fewer utensils.
- Without seasoning, a dish seems incomplete. It is suggested to wrap the spices and herbs in the small packets of tin foil. You can mix the salt and pepper together.
Technical Hacks
- Protect your mobile phone from wind, rain, dirt and accidental wine spillage by sealing it into a Ziploc freezer bag.
- A head torch can be very helpful for you at night when you are looking for a space to go to pee. You can also make a temporary light by pointing it into a plastic bottle filled with water.
- You must pick some windup lamps and torches as these get charged up through wind and you don’t have to worry about the charging it using the car power or batteries.
Hacks to make fire starters
- For transferable fire starters, you need to dip cotton or makeup remover pads in the wax and that’s it.
- If you don’t want the mosquitos around you, then you add lavender or some sprigs to the campfire.
- You can use wax, an egg box, and some lint to prepare an easy and movable campfire
